THESE ARE THE KIND OF THINGS THAT I LOOK FOR, THEY LOOK INNOCENT AT FIRST THEN AS YOU READ ON YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT IS GENERALLY LINKED TO EITHER A POLITICIAN OR A BANKER OR SOMETHING EQUALLY SUSPICIOUS. HEART ATTACK IS ONE OF THEIR PREFERED METHODS OF OFFING UNWANTED MINIONS, ITS CLEAN ITS QUICK AND IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR YOUR PAYED OFF CORONER TO SIGN THE DEATH CERTIFICATE!
Detroit — Oakland County’s chief medical examiner was in good condition late Friday after suffering a heart attack while testifying during a murder trial Thursday.
Dr. L.J. Dragovic was testifying in the second-degree murder case against Kelly Christopher Slominski when he collapsed in the courtroom of Wayne County Circuit Judge Richard M. Skutt.
He was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital where he was listed in serious condition Thursday before being upgraded to fair and then good.
There is no date set for Dragovic’s discharge or return to work.
Slominski of Flat Rock is accused in the June 2009 strangling and drowning death of Robert John Hackney, 23, of Brownstown Township. Hackney’s body was found near a creek at Manchester and Telegraph.
Dragovic is one of five medical examiners for Oakland County. Dr. Kanubhai Virani will assume chief medical examiner duties for Oakland County while Dragovic recovers.
Nationally respected, Dragovic in 2010 ”discovered a bullet hole near the base of the skull of a slain prominent Mount Clemens bank executive during a private autopsy” — a find initially missed by Macomb’s medical examiner.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy, in a statement issued late Thursday, said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Dragovic and his family. Nothing is more important than his health at this time.”
