THE European Union increasingly resembles a gigantic extortion racket. Through a mixture of bullying, threats and deceit, Brussels forces us to underwrite its rotten empire.
Yet in return for handing over vast amounts of money, we receive nothing but grief as the EU systematically
destroys our nationhood and wrecks our economy.
In the madhouse of European politics, we are effectively compelled to pay for our national demise.
The full extent of the EU’s cash grab has been revealed in new official statistics that show that Britain’s gross contribution to the coffers of Brussels reached an incredible £19.2billion last year.
That amounts to £53million every single day.
Even the most brutal foreign occupiers in our history, like the Vikings with their Danegeld tax, never extracted so much from the British people.
Just as enthusiasts for mass immigration use fiddled figures to downplay the impact of our open borders, so the euro
fanatics try to minimise the size of mammoth financial tribute to Brussels.
While £19billion is the total amount, they tell us, this is reduced by rebates, grants and EU spending programmes.
So in reality, they say, our net contribution is “only” £10.8billion.
Well, even that is still a ridiculous sum to squander on a malevolent, expensive bureaucracy that is bent on our national destruction.
