The US hitting Iran with more sanctions – the Treasury department has
just announced new sanctions against 11 companies they say are
operating as a front on the behalf of the Iranian government. Now the
US is vowing to ratchet up pressure on Iran, it’s all an attempt to
put an end to Iran’s controversial nuclear program. But what are the
true implications of these sanctions? what do they actually
accomplish? Jamal Abdi of the National American Council brings his
