Aliens may have visited the Mendip Hills, according to Ministry of Defence documents.
The ETTs (Extra-Terrestrial Tourists) were supposedly seen hovering over the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty behind Banwell in Somerset for a few minutes before landing 25 years ago.
A document outlining a witness statement has been put into the public domain by the National Archive.
In true Men in Black style, the witness’s details have been blacked out. Their close encounter in report 411 says: “I observed a white/silver object at about four miles in a easterly, southeasterly direction from my front room window.
“The object appeared to be solid and hozy (sic). The object seem to be hovering just above the Mendip Hills area behind Banwell village.
“The object seemed to get brighter then vanished behind trees of the Mendip area.”
