Police have launched an investigation following allegations that a 14-year-old girl was raped in Argyll and Bute.
The girl and her friend, also 14, were seen in the company of two men walking along the foreshore at Alexandra Parade, Dunoon, at 23:00 on 28 June.
As the girls walked back alone to a bus stop, a member of the public called police after becoming concerned about the way they were behaving.
