From the White House Oval Office, President Obama spoke with the four Atlantis astronauts of STS-135, the final space shuttle mission, and the six Expedition 28 residents of the International Space Station. NASA Administrator Charles Bolden joined the president for the call.
Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim are on a 13-day mission to the ISS and are scheduled to close NASA’s Space Shuttle Program with a landing at the Kennedy Space Center on July 21.
